1. Turns out, moderately overweight people live longer than the thin, and obese people spend less on healthcare than the thin. Where are your externalities now, progressives? Time to start subsidizing big macs and outlawing tofu?

3. Becker on the war on drugs. It’s a good, albeit not particularly noteworthy article, but you know that something has changed when all the serious thoughtful people are lining up on one side of the issue and writing op eds in staid serious forums like the WSJ.
